Apostle Joshua Selman Exposed

Introduction

The Dangerous Teachings of Joshua Selman is alarming, and it is not something that we should be silent about.

Joshua Selman is a pastor and the founder of Koinonia Church, and he is one of the leading voices in the Charismatic and Pentecostal movements among young people. He has some good teachings just like every false teacher and prophet does. But Joshua Selman got some fundamental doctrines wrong.

Now, if someone preaches wrongly on dressing, I don’t believe that that shouldn’t be a deal-breaker, but if someone says that Christ did not die on the cross, burial, and rose again, then that is a deal-breaker.

1 Corinthians 15:13-14 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

I am not saying that Joshua Selman made the statement above, but I will examine some of the things that he said that are not Scriptural, but are based on his personal opinion and not from the Word of God.

Once Saved Always Saved is Eternal Life

1. The Bible is not the Word of God- Apostle Joshua Selman

This statement above was made by Joshua Selman concerning the Word of God but contains the Word.

His defense of the statement is this, “Since the Bible contains the words of Satan, words of false prophets, and many other bad characters in the Bible, then it is definitely not God that inspired and authored those statements. And also he said, “the word of God is those that give life to people.”

Now, here is my response from the Bible.
Even though the Bible contains the words of bad people, it is God that inspired 40 writers to pen every word of God down and everything written in the Bible. God authored the Bible. If you can deny any part of the Scripture as less authoritative, then it will be easier to deny all of the Bible as well.

2Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Everything written in the Bible is not an accident including the words of Satan and false prophets, some are there to warn, some are there to edify, some are there to rebuke, and so on.
There is a purpose for every word of God, therefore, it will be false for someone to wake, up and just declare that the Bible is not the Word of God. This man has a lot of followers that follow his teaching, and you know what would happen to these people’s faith? They will believe as they were taught by their leader, Joshua Selman.

The doctrine of the inspiration of the Scripture is that God providentially guarded the men that penned down that Bible so that it will communicate the very thing that God wants them to write. The Bible is the complete, inspired, infallible, and unadulterated Word of God. And anyone who teaches otherwise should be called out for denying the Bible.

If the Bible is not working, then nothing is working, and it is important to stand so that no man will shake your faith in the Lord.

1 Peter 1:19-21 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2. You Can Lose Salvation- “Apostle Joshua Selman”

Joshua Selman also denied the doctrine of eternal salvation, and he said that believers can lose salvation, but the Bible is clear on the subject of salvation, and Christ also explains to us what eternal life means.

God knows that man will deny the obvious, that is why Christ said that it is eternal so that men will understand the nature of life that they have. Anyone that denies the subject of eternal security is an Anti-Christ, and not saved. There is no way you can see what the Bible says, and still deny that Christ saved forever.

I made a video on my Youtube channel concerning this truth that received many insults from his followers, but then I do not blame those gullible followers because they have been manipulated by the errors of Joshua Selman. Anyone that does not believe in the doctrine of once saved always saved is not a true believer.

2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Eternal Security in Christ

3. Christ is Not Fully Man- “Apostle Joshua Selman”

In one of the videos that were posted online, Joshua Selman declared that one of the reasons why Christ was not able to yield to temptation is because he is not fully man, but that is false teaching.

And we will see the truth in the Bible, Christ is fully man and fully God at the same time. And when he was here on earth, he expressed his divinity in his ability to know all things, forgive sins, and performed many great miracles that no man has ever done.

There are many verses that support his humanity, his temptation in the wilderness, hunger, weeping, and many others.
To deny the full humanity of Christ to deny his atonement for sins and his redemption work.

Romans 8:2-3 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

He must be fully man for the atonement and the sacrifice to be acceptable in the sight of the Lord. Man sinned, and there is a necessity for man to pay for sin, and since there is no man without sin, Christ must need come in his likeness of human flesh, and condemn sin in the flesh.

1 Timothy 2:5-8 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Eternal Security: Once Saved Always Saved

Conclusion

I hope “Apostle” Joshua Selman gets saved and repents his false teachings that do not agree with the whole thesis and the text of the remaining Bible. Let’s stand for what is truthful, and not falsehood.
The best commentary on the Bible is the Bible. The Bible interprets itself, and all it takes is the diligent search for the Word of God that will liberate souls from Hell.

John 5:38-39 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
