Introduction

The birth of Jesus is an important event in the Christian faith because Jesus is the son of God and the savior of the world, and that is why I want to share with you these 8 Great FACTS about the Birth of Jesus Christ.

The birth of Jesus is a central theme in many Christmas traditions and is celebrated with Christmas carols, gift-giving, and special meals.


FACTS ABOUT THE BIRTH OF CHRIST

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, a small town in the region of Judea.

Luk 2:3-4  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 

The Birth of Christ | Christmas According to the Bible

According to the Bible, Jesus was born to the Virgin Mary and his earthly father was Joseph, a carpenter.

Matthew 1:23  Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 

The birth of Jesus is celebrated by Christians on Christmas Day, which is December 25th.

One of the reasons why many Christians celebrated the birth of Christ is as the result of the announcement from the Angels. And birth is good news filled with joy and gladness.

According to the Bible, Jesus was born in a stable because there was no room for them in the inn.

Luk 2:6-7  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 

The birth of Jesus was announced to Mary and Joseph by an angel.


Luk 2:9  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 
Luk 2:10  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 
Luk 2:11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 
Luk 2:12  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 

According to the Bible, Jesus was born during the reign of King Herod the Great, who was known for his cruel and ruthless rule.

Mat 2:7  Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 
Mat 2:8  And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. 

The birth of Jesus was hailed as a miraculous event by many people, including shepherds who were visited by angels and told of the birth of the savior.

Luk 2:15  And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 
Luk 2:16  And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 
Luk 2:17  And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 
Luk 2:18  And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 

According to Bible, the wise men followed a star to find Jesus and brought him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Mat 2:11  And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. 
Mat 2:12  And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. 

Conclusion
