Biblical Correction in the Home.

Setting a Biblical Standard for Correcting in the Home.

Nobody will dispute that Bible talks about correction, and the problem now is how you do the correction, therefore biblical correction in the home must be paramount, and the responsibility of every parent.

Many Christians know that correcting a child in the Bible way is there, but we just want our own way of doing it.
Correcting a child is a Bible principle, and there are many verses in the Bible that talk about how you do the correction in a way that will help the child that is receiving the correction.

The Biblical Christianity

And many of you parents must correct your children because you love them and because you want them to turn out to be good, and useful for God’s glory.

If you do not discipline your children, you are technically telling them that you hate them, and want them to do whatsoever they want to do and that you do not care about them.

Let me say this, I believe in flogging and spanking a child, because that is another way of correcting, and I will explain more later.

My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. (Proverbs 3:11-12 KJV)

A fool in the Bible will not receive instruction, so many times in the Bible, correction is needed for the fool so that he will be wise.
He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; (Proverbs 7:22 KJV)

Bible also talks about correcting those that forsake the right way, so that they can come back to the path of righteousness.

Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. (Proverbs 15:10 KJV)
Goals for CorrectionFoolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. (Proverbs 22:15 KJV)

Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. (Proverbs 23:12-14 KJV)

To receive wisdom

To bring them back to the right path

How To Correct A Child In The Home.

Setting the Standard of Biblical Correction in the Home

1. Rod, Flogging, and Spanking

What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? (1 Corinthians 4:21 KJV)

I was watching a program on TV where two people were debating whether it is right to spank a child or not. It is so sad that our country will be debating over this issue of flogging a child.

Many people are moving away from the biblical correction in the home, and caving into the humanistic way of training children.

Yes, it is right to flog a child, and not abuse a child through flogging.

There is a way God wants a child to be flogged, God has a special place in their body part where you need to put the rod in it, and that is the buttock.

I do not beat in the back of a child, slap, use a stick on the head, but I use a rod at the buttock. The purpose of spanking is for the child to feel the pain, and it must be done in love, and let them know that you love them, and that is the reason why you are correcting them.

In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding. (Proverbs 10:13 KJV)

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. (Proverbs 13:24 KJV)

A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back. (Proverbs 26:3 KJV)
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

(Proverbs 29:15 KJV)

And there are so many other passages that use rod as a means of punishment and chastisement.

2. The Word of God

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

(2 Timothy 3:15-16 KJV)

Is it possible for a child to learn the word of God? Yes. The word of God will make them wise unto salvation because it is commanded to be used as means of correcting.

Therefore the Word of God is powerful to make a child wise, and I can tell you the impact of the Word of God in my life.

It has changed my life when I was a child, so if you use it on your kids, it will transform their lives too.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9 KJV)

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. (Deuteronomy 11:19-21 KJV)

Everything that a child needs to learn about morals, discipline, and their choice and consequence is in the word of God.

The reasons why many kids turned out to be bad are because they are not getting enough of the Word, and the Rod.

You can never undermine the power of these two ingredients. I believe in using rods to spank children, but I am not going to abuse them.

An example of child abuse is slapping a kid in the face.

So flogging is another way God wants you to discipline your children, and it is commanded by God, and you will have to decide who you are going to obey, your government or God.

Spank them now, teach them the Bible now, so that you would not regret that you should have taught and spank them when they turned out to be bad, and in jail.
