Bishop David Oyedapo declared the Shiloh 2021 theme, and this theme strengthens the doctrine of once saved always saved that he denied publicly in the Shiloh 2019 convention.
Bishop David Oyedapo is a Charismatic pastor and the front leader of the prosperity Gospel in Nigeria.
And in this article, I will talk about the theme for this year’s annual Shiloh conference.
In 2019, Bishop Oyedapo made a popular declaration against the doctrine of eternal security also known as once saved always saved. And when I saw the clip, I debunked him in an article published on our church blog
Then it is unfortunate that the Shiloh 2021 theme has taken from a passage of the Scripture that strongly supports the doctrine of the eternal security of believers.
“More than a conqueror”
It is very unfortunate that they will not use these verses to promote the true Gospel of Christ, but their own belly, and message of prosperity.
More than a conqueror speaks of a believer, and that shows that we are eternally secured in Christ.
ROMANS CHAPTER 8
These passages and verses speak about who we are in Christ Jesus, and because of this identity we have, we are eternally saved.
Bishop Oyedapo who denied eternal salvation is using these to promote his name and claim it preaching, and I believe that God opens his eyes to the true Gospel of Christ.
Bishop Oyedapo is not preaching the gospel of Christ; but works salvation message which damns a soul to Hell.
What Shiloh 2021 Theme Reveals
1. It Reveals the inconsistency of Bishop David Oyedapo with the Word of God.
Studying this Bible passage contextually reveals that we cannot be separated from God, because of the love of Christ. We see the love of Christ displayed on the cross is sufficient for us to be saved, and it keeps us saved forever.
Tampering with the simplicity of salvation is a dangerous thing to do, and that is exactly what Bishop Oyedapo is doing to the Word of God.
Eternal security is the awareness of God’s guarantee that we have been saved from the penalty of sin through the sacrifice of Christ. I hope people will see the inconsistency of these men with the word of God especially this Shiloh 2021 Theme
2. It reveals the promotion of flesh and materialism in the Charismatic movements and denomination
If you have been to Charismatic churches, you have an understanding of what they stand for, it is about the promotion of health and wealth, which is the display and the propagation of materialism and flesh.
The competition among these men is so great, that they can do anything to maintain their wealth gotten from gullible followers.
Materialism is not a sign that you are blessed by God and lack of it does not mean that you are blessed by God. Wealth does not equate to godliness in life.
But these men would have you believe that when you have money, it shows that God’s blessing is on you. Joseph was in prison, and see what God said about him.
|39:23||The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.|
People do wickedly, and they prosper in their wickedness, and this is why you need to kick prosperity Gospel goodbye, and stop following this junky message.
|Ps 37:7||Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.|
I believe that the true messages of the cross will be preached in this convention, but just a way to cash out again as they always do. Shiloh 2021 theme shows the promotions of the materialism of these pastors.
Let me say this, I disagree with Bishop Oyedapo’s practices, but it is no deal-breaker for me, but if a man does not preach the true Gospel, then he is accursed.
Let me leave you with this truth.
The only way a man can be saved is the acknowledging and believing in Christ alone for eternal life, and if you do not believe in this truth, then he is still in his sins.
|John 8:21||Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.|
|John 8:24||I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.|
I have preached and taught on this subject of once saved always saved for many years.
