The Biblical Christianity

Matthew 8:20 KJV
And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Buying and Selling in the Church

Introduction

The kind of Christianity that churches are preaching and spreading is contrary to what the Bible teaches on what Biblical Christianity is all about.

We live in a day where people are more concerned about what they can get from Christ, and not what they should give to Christ.

Many are looking for Jesus who is going to give them everything that they wanted from this life, and not about eternity. Modern-day Christianity is not what Biblical Christianity stands for.

In Modern Day Christianity.
Prosperity Gospel.
Name it and Claim it.
No sickness, No Pain, and No Sorrow.

But to rightly divide the word of truth, we will see that all these things that modern-day Christianity offers are against the very things that Jesus Christ preached, the Apostle proclaimed, and the early Christians propagate.

What is Biblical Christianity?

1. It involves Sacrifice.

When we talk about sacrifice, it is all about giving up something that is precious. It involves being willing to let go of something for the cause of Christ.
Modern-day Christianity will not want to tell you about the cost it involves in being a Christian. What are you willing to sacrifice for Christ’s sake. Remember, it is not about you anymore, but about him who saved you from the penalty of Sin.

They will promise you that it shall be well with you, and when people do not see any of those promises being fulfilled in their lives, they will think that something is wrong with them, or God does not exist.

2. It involves Suffering
Suffering is just an inevitable part of life, but most people will go to church that will tell them that they will suffer in the name of the person who suffered for them.

Romans 8:18, 2 Corinthians 1:5-7, Phillppians 3:10, Colossians 1:24, James 5:10

Christians Response to Biblical Instruction

Many more examples of people who suffered for the sake of Christ. So many of you will go to tonight’s vigil, mountains, and prayer meeting where they will be praying against suffering. This shows your lack of spiritual understanding of the word of God.
Let me say this, there are sufferings that come as a result of your stand for the Lord, and there are sufferings that come as a result of your mistakes and wrong choices. When you are suffering as a result of your stand for the Lord, you need to wear the suffering as a necklace around your neck, and glory in it.

But we as Christians are going through suffering that we do not have any control over, we should pray that God gives us the grace to find in time of need.
God gives strength in the trying time. Because it is not about this life, it is about eternity.

3. It involves Servitude.

Biblical Christianity involves service, not to man, but to the King of kings who bought you. Who are you serving? If you are not serving the Lord, you will serve the flesh, and when you serve the flesh, you will never give glory to God.

Romans 12:1-2
Many people in the modern-day Christianity movement are more concerned about what they can get, and not what they can give.

Ephesians 6:7, Philippians 2:17,30, Revelation 2:19.
What kind of service have you done for God and others? Are you just concerned about what people can do for you or what you can do for others?

I love every opportunity to serve the Lord in this local church and also to service my family in any capacity. When it comes to the work of God; I am always looking for opportunities to serve, and not be served.

How Christians Ought to Walk

4. It involves Surrender/Submission

Surrender is often mistaken for weakness, but that is not wrong, but it takes humility to put yourself under the control of another person.
Biblical Christianity is all about surrendering ALL to Christ who saved us, and why should we surrender to Christ? We need to do so in recognition of the price he paid for us to be redeemed.

Are you looking for ways to cut corners in Christianity? There is no shortcut in the Bible, it is either your way or His way.
