INTRODUCTION
In this article, we will be sharing things about the holiness of God, and the verses in the Bible.
- Meaning- Leviticus 11:44, Psalm 99:2,3,5,9, John 17:11, Revelation 4:8-11
The attribute of holiness with respect to God means that He is separate from all that is unclean and sinful, and It also means that He is positively pure and because of this, distinct from all others.
Thinking about this with me: What does it mean to be healthy? It is the absence of illness, but also a positive infusion of energy.
Application
The absolute holiness of God means that sinners have to be separated from Him unless a way can be found to constitute them holy. And that way has been provided in the merits of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:21
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Christians are holy in their position before God according to the Bible verses we just read.
Christians are to be holy in their walk with God- Ephesians 4:1
The Holiness of God becomes the standard of spirituality for every believer-
1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Acceptable behavior is to be determined by the standard of God’s perfect holiness.
Believers are called to please God, and meet his standard of holiness and not the standard of other men.
A proper view of God’s holiness should make a believer sensitive to his own sin- Isaiah 6:3,5, Luke 5:8
Luk 5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

In the Old Testament
Exodus 15:11, “Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
Exodus 28:36 And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
Exo_39:30 And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
1Ch_16:29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
