What Can We Learn from the Birth of Christ
Every year, people all over the world gathered with friends and family to remember and celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus, our Lord.
But then it is unfortunate that many people have no understanding of what the Bible says about the birth of the Savior.
Luke 2:1-11
And I believe that the greatest joy in life is to know him and to make Him known.
Knowing Christ brings satisfaction to a hungry soul, and it calms the heart of a fearful man.
From this passage, we will be learning some significant truth about the Birth of Christ.
Some Lessons about the Birth of Christ is Outlined in this Passage of the Scripture
1. The Place of His Birth
Where was he born?
Verse 4
Bethlehem was a little town of Judea, it is home to shepherds, and not really a fancy place where people can be proud of. It is a very dirty place filled with animals piss and poops.
That is exactly the place my Savior was born. He was born in the little town of Bethlehem.
The King of Kings, king of the Jews came to earth in a little town.
God wants every one of us to learn the importance of a little place or little place.
We often reject little places, we don’t want to go there, but something great can come out of a little place.
Never disdain a small local place that God has places, I believe that you are there for a purpose.
John 1:46
And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
Our Savior demonstrated to us that, we should never despise the importance of little places, and also that great things can come out of little places.
If you find yourself in a little place, one of the things you can do is to make a difference in that place that God has placed you.
God has used many little places to turn the world upside for Christ.
The Philippines is a small country in Asia, but right now, they are sending missionaries all over the world. And we have many big countries that are doing nothing for the Lord.
God chose little places for His glory so that people will understand, every place is important.

B. Manger
verse 7
Because of the too much busy things that were going on during the time of the birth of Christ, there was no room for them in the inn, like a guest house, but then they had no choice but to look for somewhere else that Christ would be born.
Not even in the hospital, but in a manger.
This shows the humility of Christ. God demonstrated humility in this verse.
He could have miraculously provided a place for them in the inn or nice hospital, but the baby came out in the manger.
It is very important to understand the blessings that come when we humble ourselves. The manger is not a desired place, but that was where Christ was born.
Humble is essential to our Christian growth, if you are not willing to humble yourself, you are preparing yourself for failure.
Philippians 2
Let this mind be in you.
Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
What a blessing!
What a lesson!
B. Who Came to see Jesus?
verse 8
Not rich people, influencers, and kings, but the shepherds. People have little or no regard for the shepherd, but then the angel came to announce the birth of Christ to them.
God chose the shepherd and sent an angel to tell them about the good news of Christ.
Let me see this God uses little people to accomplish his will. We have seen that the little place was chosen, but then in this verse that the little people were also chosen.
You may see yourself as nothing, but if you are going to make yourself available, then the Lord will use you in a greater way.
You don’t need to go to seminary before that will use you, all that God is looking for is your availability.
Are you going to make yourself available for him to use you?
If the Angels had appeared to rich men, then they could have given excuses why they cannot see Christ.
1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Co 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1Co 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1Co 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Here is one thing that you should understand today, if you are here serving the Lord in the Church, you need to count it as a privilege, and give your all, and then by giving you all, he gets glory in what you are doing.
Conclusion
Briefly:
God chooses little places
God chooses little people
