Introduction
There are many people who do not see the reasons to trust in Jesus Christ; therefore, they have created God in their images. This article will show you how important it is to place your trust in Jesus Christ. Now, we cannot change the decisions people make, but it is a Christian’s duty to show what the Lord Jesus Christ can do to those who believe in him.
Who is Jesus Christ?
One of the most important questions that many people ask today is concerning the identity of Jesus Christ. Who is Jesus Christ? Many people know him to be a man from the country of Israel, a Jew, a teacher, and a Rabbi. But looking through the Scripture, he is more than those titles. I will therefore declare what the Bible says about him.
He is the Son of God
Jesus Christ is the son of God; he came to the world through a miraculous birth by Mary. The record of his birth as the Son of God was given by John the Baptist. Satan also declared that Christ is the Son of God.
Declaration from Satan:
Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Matthew 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Declaration from the Spirits:
Matthew 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
He is the Savior of the World.
What does it mean to be a Saviour of the world? A savior is someone who delivers from danger or impending doom. Jesus Christ is our Saviour by the way of giving himself as a sacrifice for our sins. He delivered us from the wrath of God and the penalty of sin.
These verses provided us with clear evidence of Jesus being the Saviour of the World. 12 Powerful Bible Verses on Biblical Accountability
1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Finally, he is a powerful quote about the life of Christ Jesus:
The Greatest Man in History… Jesus; Had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He did not live in a castle, yet they called Him Lord, He ruled no nations, yet they called Him King, He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today (Lyle C Rollings III, 2008).
It is important to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ; He is the only way for a man to be saved from eternal judgment and damnation. Jesus died for our sins; he was buried, and on the third day, he rose again for our justification. Anyone who believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
